News from the Chair, Ellie Espling

Apr 18, 2020

Dear Cumberland County Republicans,

I hope this message finds you well during this challenging time. As you may know, we were unable to hold our regular CCRC meeting in March due to the current COVID restrictions. Unfortunately we will not be able to have our April meeting that was originally scheduled for next week. The CCRC Executive committee has been able to meet via conference calls so that we may plan accordingly under these current circumstances. I want to take this opportunity to communicate a few things.

First, as you may be aware, the Maine Republican Convention will be postponed. Details are still being worked out. Changes regarding the convention will be communicated to registered delegates.

Second, while our in person fundraising events are on hold or canceled, we will make every effort to raise the needed funds to support our candidates. The CCRC website has a link for donations at any time. We hope to do some virtual fundraising in the near future so keep an eye out for more emails from CCRC.

Third, thankfully we did not have any pressing issues to be dealt with or voted on at our April meeting. That being said we hope to meet in May either in person, if allowed, and virtually if needed. If we are able to arrange other virtual events we will notify you via email with registration information.

Finally, some of our Cumberland County Republican candidates are running as Clean Election candidates. If you have a Clean Election candidate where you live please consider donating $5 online if you have not already done so.

Thank you so much for your patience during this challenging time. If you have any questions you can always email us at info@ccrcme.com. Please remember to check out our website at ccrcme.com and our page on Facebook.

Stay Safe and Well,
Ellie Espling
CCRC Chair
