I just wanted to remind everyone that we are having an Information & Inspiration Meeting on February 22nd at The American Legion in Damariscotta. Physical address is 524 Main Street.

I have added two exciting speakers to our agenda:

Bruce Ashmore, President of Automotive Elegance, Inc. of Bucksport is working with Gun Owners of Maine to develop advocacy groups to defend the 2nd Amendment against the coming onslaught from the left. He will speak about the groups that are forming that will give us a voice at the State House. Please invite people that are concerned about our gun rights.

Kevin Webb, General Manager of Uncle Henry’s will be sharing about his project of starting a conservative newspaper for Maine. This is the effort that Paula Sutton told us about at our last meeting. He will bring us up to date on the plans and status of the newspaper is. He will also be explaining how we can help in this effort. Please invite all your friends that complain about the “Main Stream Media”.

Demi Kousounas, Chair of the State GOP will be sharing her excitement for where the newly revamped State GOP is headed in 2019. An incredible effort is underway to make the State GOP more user friendly to which Demi will speak.

Nick Isgro, Vice Chair of the State GOP, and Mayor of Waterville will be rolling out our plan for “Restoring Maine’s Future”. This will be dynamic and well worth listening to for anyone that is concerned about the direction in which we are headed.

I have also asked that Gerry Hungerford give us an update on what the Town Committee Activation Group is doing.  They are making a difference.

Carolyn Harris recently told me about her ancestors from Maine who were captured while helping the cause of our Revolution, forced to march to Canada in the winter without proper clothing and imprisoned there. They later were traded for British prisoners and went on to fight in the War for our Independence. They were in the place and time to make a difference for us. As I have said many times before, “This is the place, now is the time and we are the people”. Will we take up the banner for the next generation? I think YES. I believe that we, here in Maine, have a Date with Destiny.

Social time will start at 6:30 and the meeting will start promptly at 7:00.  There will be plenty of chili, sandwiches and other great food so bring your appetite and eat with friends.  If you are able to help with any food items please contact Joan Owen at 563-2515.

Let’s make this “Bring a friend” night. This will be information that will get people excited about our future.

Looking forward to seeing many of you,

Gordon
